To begin, we will numb the tooth being treated and then remove any decay. We thoroughly clean the tooth and may etch the outer surface too. We prepare the composite resin material, shading it to blend with the rest of your tooth. We apply this in several layers, sculpting and molding your tooth as the composite resin cures beneath a special light. The last step is to polish the tooth for a brighter appearance. The entire process takes one appointment!
We can use this to close unsightly gaps between your teeth, or add length to the teeth worn down by a bruxism. Our team can reshape malformed teeth and also repair minor chips and cracks too. The Contouring Process
In the same visit or in a separate appointment, we can also contour the teeth as well. This procedure doesn’t add to the teeth, instead it involves buffing and sanding away small sections of outer structure to correct cosmetic imperfections. For example, we can smooth out rough patches, pits, and grooves in the outer structure. Our team can address overly large teeth, and dull sharp, pointed, or jagged portions of structure too.
