What are the Symptoms of TMJ Disorder?
The symptoms can range from jaw and head pain to issues opening and closing the mouth. Common symptoms include:
- Chronic headaches
- Clicking or popping sounds when the jaw moves
- Face swollen on one or both sides
- Jaw, face, neck, or shoulder muscle spasms
- Locked jaw
- Pain and ringing in one or both ears
What Can Be Done About TMJ?
We can treat TMJ disorder with a custom-designed oral appliance, also known as a nightguard. This appliance helps the jaw rest in a more comfortable position.
